Dr. Jamey Jacquemoud, DC
Chiropractor · Active Release Techniques
Dr. Jacquemoud was born in Los Angeles County and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up in a family of chiropractic patients and learned early on the benefits of chiropractic and holistic medicine.
As a high-school and collegiate athlete, he understood firsthand how much a healthy, well-functioning body matters — an interest that drew him toward the prevention and care of injury. After undergraduate study in Santa Barbara, he moved to San Jose to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where he became a leader in the sports-chiropractic community as an executive member of the Student American Chiropractic Association Sports Council, interning at sporting events across the Bay Area and the country.
From 2000 to 2002 he volunteered with the Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) performance team at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii and the Ironman races in San Diego, treating some of the world’s top endurance athletes. A.R.T. is a soft-tissue method that releases muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves from the restrictive scar tissue caused by repetitive stress and injury; combined with chiropractic, the two work together to increase function and strength while reducing tension.
Now in his third decade of practice at Sorrento Valley Chiropractic, Dr. Jacquemoud builds personalized treatment plans around your current condition and the quality-of-life goals you have for getting back to what you love.
