Acupuncture in Sorrento Valley
Holistic, root-cause care from a board-certified, California-licensed acupuncturist — a natural complement to chiropractic, and a genuinely calming experience in its own right.
Acupuncture is an ancient form of medicine, practiced for more than 2,000 years and considered a holistic approach to health because of its comprehensive view of the body. It involves the precise placement of very fine, sterile needles at specific points to cue the body’s own self-healing and return it to a state of balance.
Its most appealing quality is its use as preventative medicine: rather than suppressing symptoms, the goal is to treat the underlying cause. From a biomedical standpoint, acupuncture relieves pain, reduces inflammation and helps restore the body’s natural balance by activating the nervous, immune and endocrine systems. It’s a natural, safe practice with few risks and no medication side-effects.

Acupuncture questions
Can’t find your answer? Call us — we’re happy to talk it through before you book.
Call 858-455-7654Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people are surprised by how comfortable it is. The needles are very fine — far thinner than a needle used for shots or blood draws — and many patients feel deeply relaxed during a session.
What can acupuncture help with?
Andrea treats musculoskeletal and chronic pain, post-operative pain, headaches and migraines, digestive disorders, allergies, gynecological issues, stress and more. It pairs especially well with chiropractic for pain and tension.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on whether your concern is acute or chronic. Andrea will give you an honest sense of a reasonable course of care after your first session.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Often, yes. We keep room in the schedule for same-day visits Monday through Friday, 9am–6pm. Call 858-455-7654 and we'll do our best to see you today — or request a time online and we'll confirm by phone.
