Auto accident & whiplash care

After a collision, the smartest thing you can do is get evaluated early — even if you feel “mostly fine.” Whiplash symptoms often surface days later.

Whiplash should be evaluated within days of a collision — even a low-speed one, and even if you feel “mostly fine” — because symptoms commonly surface 24–72 hours later, and early care helps prevent an acute strain from becoming a chronic problem. Whiplash is an injury to the neck’s muscles, ligaments and joints from rapid back-and-forth motion. Chiropractic care restores motion and settles the injured tissue, and we document your injuries properly for auto-insurance claims.

Early evaluation matters for two reasons: it helps prevent a short-term injury from becoming a long-term problem, and it creates the timely documentation that auto-accident claims depend on.

Common causes we see

  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Headaches that start after the crash
  • Shoulder, upper-back and arm pain
  • Dizziness, fatigue or trouble concentrating
  • Reduced range of motion

How we treat it

We perform a thorough injury evaluation, then treat with gentle adjustment, soft-tissue and massage therapy, and supportive therapies to settle inflammation and restore motion — progressing as you heal. Corrective exercises help rebuild stability so symptoms don’t linger.

We also document your injuries and care clearly, and can work with your auto-accident insurance and attorney as needed, so you can focus on recovering.

How soon after an accident should I come in?

As soon as you can — ideally within a few days, even if pain is mild. Whiplash symptoms are notorious for showing up late, and early care and documentation make a real difference.

Do you work with auto-accident insurance?

Yes. We can provide the evaluation and documentation auto claims require and coordinate with your insurer or attorney. Bring any claim information you have to your first visit.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on how severe your condition is and how long you've had it. After your exam, the doctor explains exactly what they found and lays out a clear plan — including how many visits to expect — before any treatment begins. Many patients notice meaningful improvement within the first few visits.

Is chiropractic care safe for whiplash and auto-accident injuries?

For most people, yes. Every new patient starts with a thorough history and exam so we can rule out anything that needs medical attention first. We tailor techniques to your comfort, use gentler approaches when appropriate, and refer you to the right provider if chiropractic isn't the best fit.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

Often, yes. We keep room in the schedule for same-day visits Monday through Friday, 9am–6pm. Call 858-455-7654 and we'll do our best to see you today — or request a time online and we'll confirm by phone.
